Experiential Learning

The Teaching and Learning Commons' Experiential Learning team focuses on centering "learning by doing", with both programs and tools while also elevating experiential learning across campus as a whole.

The programs our team oversees include Academic Internship Programs (AIP) and UC Washington (UCDC). The Co-Curricular Record (CCR) and the Research Experience and Applied Learning or REAL Portal are tools that our team manages.

Drop-in Advising Hours Spring 2025

The Experiential Learning team hosts weekly Drop-in Hours to provide advising for AIP, UCDC, BISP, and other academic internship courses, as well as insight on submitting and adding opportunities onto your CCR.

Thursdays, 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. (held in person and remotely via Zoom)

Our team is also available at various centers across campus on select days/times. For Spring 2025, these are typically taking place on most Wednesdays and Thursdays from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

For Students

Our team provides specific information about AIP, UCDC and the CCR. We can support you through the application process for each as well as provide insight in how to utilize resources and tools to be the most successful within our programs.
