Experiential Learning Course Requirements

As the campus has grown, experiential learning has become embedded into coursework in different colleges. A brief summary for the undergraduate colleges with an explicit experiential learning requirement are listed, but we encourage you to explore their respective pages for more detailed information.

Sixth College

Sixth College's Experiential Learning Requirement embeds these values into our curriculum and general education requirements. To fulfill the requirement, students must complete a four-unit, upper-division experiential learning course within one of the five fulfillment tracks: Community EngagementInternship and ApprenticeshipResearch and DesignArt and Performance, or Global Experience.

Seventh College

Seventh College's High Impact requirement is satisfied by completing one course (2-4 units) selected from a variety of engaging experiential learning options. This course may overlap with major, minor, and university requirements. Information is available for the High Impact requirement for first year students and for transfer students.
