The workshops offered by the Experiential Learning (EL) team aim to encourage personal and career development for the UC San Diego campus community. Below is a summary of the different workshops we offer.

    Introduction to Experiential Learning

    Unlock Your Future Beyond the Classroom

    This workshop introduces students to the full spectrum of Experiential Learning (EL) opportunities available at UC San Diego. Attendees will explore signature Teaching and Learning Commons EL programs, including Academic Internship Program (AIP), UCDC and UC Center Sacramento (UCCS), Co-Curricular Record (CCR) and the REAL Portal. Interactive resources will allow students to connect to EL Programs beyond the Commons as well, helping guide where to locate different opportunities across campus.

  • Community Engagement and Your CCR

    Community Engagement and Your CCR

    Make a Difference and Document Your Impact

    This workshop highlights the importance of community engagement and how it can be recorded on the Co-Curricular Record (CCR). Students will identify and explore several CCR opportunities of interest and determine how they incorporate participation into their specific graduation plan.

    Reflecting on Your Experiential Learning Story

    This workshop encourages students to reflect on their beyond the classroom experiences and transferable skills to plan intentionally for the future. Students will identify key takeaways and next steps to continue building their undergraduate experiential learning journey.

    Preparing for Academic Internships

    Utilizing Experiential Learning for Career Readiness

    This workshop introduces students to the importance of academic internships for discovering their career interests and gaining transferable skills. Students will learn internship search strategies, how to recognize their existing skills, and communicate their achievements to employers on a resume.

  • Mapping Your CCR to Career Journey

    Mapping Your CCR to Career Journey

    Transform Your Experiences in Career Opportunities

    This workshop helps students map their co-curricular experiences and acquired competencies in support of personal career goals. Students will effectively utilize their CCR in resume-building, cover letter and interviewing activities, facilitating a successful career transition after graduation.
