The workshops offered by the Experiential Learning (EL) team aim to encourage personal and career development for the UC San Diego campus community. Below is a summary of the different workshops we offer.

    This workshop highlights the different types on‑campus employment, where to apply, and concrete tips to stand out as an applicant. Hear from a panel of current student‑employees who will share insider tips, what to expect from the hiring process, and the best advice for thriving as a UCSD student employee.

    Connecting with Community Mentors, CCR Validation and More

    This workshop provides updates to the Community Mentor process and new alumni resources that can amplify your organization’s impact. Participants will learn how to navigate the revised CCR Validation process, allowing eligible members to earn recognition on their Co-Curricular Transcript.

    Reflecting on Your Experiential Learning Story

    This workshop encourages students to reflect on their beyond the classroom experiences and transferable skills to plan intentionally for the future. Students will identify key takeaways and next steps to continue building their undergraduate experiential learning journey.

    Preparing for Academic Internships

    Utilizing Experiential Learning for Career Readiness

    This workshop introduces students to the importance of academic internships for discovering their career interests and gaining transferable skills. Students will learn internship search strategies, how to recognize their existing skills, and communicate their achievements to employers on a resume.

    Leveraging Practical Experience for Personal Growth

    This workshop explains how students can earn credit for their internships during the academic year. Learn about internship course options offered through Academic Internship, how to enroll, and tips for making the most of your internship experience.

    Transfer Student Community Engagement CCR Workshop

    Maximizing Your Impact through Peer Coaching

    This workshop gets students started in the Transfer Hub's Transfer Student Community Engagaement Program in the Co-Curricular Record (CCR), where students can take advantage of a wide array of Transfer Hub programs and events to connect with peer coaches and hit the ground running at UCSD.

    Career Pathway to Success CCR Workshop

    Intentional Career Training through Guided Mentorship

    This workshop gets students started in the Career Center’s Career Pathway to Success Program in the Co-Curricular Record (CCR), where students are empowered to explore diverse opportunities beyond the classroom, preparing them to make a meaningful impact in their future careers and communities.

    Find Your Community, Find Your Purpose!

    Exploring Opportunities and Documenting Your Impact

    This workshop highlights the importance of community engagement and how it can be recorded on the Co-Curricular Record (CCR). Students will identify and explore several CCR opportunities of interest and determine how they incorporate participation into their specific graduation plan.

    Mapping Your CCR to Career Journey

    Transforming Your Experiences into Career Opportunities

    This workshop helps students map their co-curricular experiences and acquired competencies in support of personal career goals. Students will effectively utilize their CCR in resume-building, cover letter and interviewing activities, facilitating a successful career transition after graduation.
