EASy Request
Once a student has their Learning Agreement fully approved by the AIP team and their Internship Supervisor, they need to submit an Enrollment Authorization System (EASy) Request to be able to enroll in the course.
An EASy Request is a UC San Diego process to request enrollment authorization for classes. AIP courses require department approval and therefore students are required to submit an EASy Request in order to be authorized to enroll in the course.
A step-by-step guide for how to submit an EASy Request is available.

Approval Process
Special studies courses like AIP require multiple levels of review through EASy, including submissions by:
- The student
- The instructor
- Departmental review
- College approval (in some cases)
- Final submission to the Registrar
Students are encouraged to submit their applications by the appropriate deadlines to allow for sufficient processing time. The EASy request must be submitted and all approvals must be submitted to the Registrar by Friday of Week 2 (the campus add deadline) for the quarter you are enrolling in AIP.
Note that international students seeking to enroll in AIP for Curricular Practical Training (CPT) credit will need to apply for CPT once the EASy request has been processed. CPT approval may take additional processing time so international students are encouraged to submit their EASy requests as soon as they are able.
Information about how to request CPT Employment Authorization is available on the International Services and Engagement Office website.
