All UCSD students can earn CCR recognition and develop these crucial career-readiness skills at the same time!

The Commons' Experiential Learning team launched a new professional development opportunity for students in 2026-2027: the Co-Curricular Record Campus Ambassador Program.

This allows any current student to add the experience to their CCR Transcript after completing 30 hours of involvement across the following program modules:

  1. Onbaording: Deep dive into CCR and EL workshops with Commons staff
  2. Self-Paced Training: Choose-your-own-adventure from a variety of CCR-focused activties
  3. Facilitation: Host workshops and events with student organizations and campus partners

  • Showcases transferrable skills (Competencies) gained from beyond the classroom experiences
  • Strengthens graduate school and job applications through official university documentation

Which activities can be counted towards my 30 hours?

Through participation in the CCR Campus Ambassador Program, students are empowered to explore diverse opportunities beyond the classroom, and then facilitate meaningful engagement opportunities for the larger UCSD community. They will develop essential skills in critical thinking, collaboration, communication and leadership, setting themselves up for success in their college to career transition. 

In order to have the experience verified on their record, participants must first complete the full 10 hours of required activities and 20 hours of additional activities, before the validation deadline of June 30, 2027.

REQUIRED ACTIVITIES  (10 hours):

  • Attend EL Workshops (3 hours)
  • Attend CCR Facilitator Training (2 hours)
    • Submit the interest form to be invited to training sessions (Fall/Winter Quarter)
  • Host EL Workshops (3 hours)
    • Facilitate 3 workshops with student orgs or campus partners (Winter/Spring Quarter)
  • Submit the CCR Reflection Survey (1 hour)
  • Share your experience (1 hour)

ADDITIONAL ACTIVITIES  (20 hours):

  • Alumni Mixer (1-5 hours)
    • Help EL Team plan and host alumni events for grant recipients
  • EL Workshops (1-5 hours)
    • Attend or facilitate additional sessions throughout the year
  • EL Showcase Support (1-5 hours)
    • Help moderate or present at additional showcase events in Winter/Spring
  • Digital Portfolio (5 hours)
    • Create a portfolio of your Ambassador (or other EL) experience for the showcase
  • GenAI Module (5 hours)
    • Self-paced Canvas module from Engaged Teaching Hub
  • Student Advisory Council (5-10 hours)
    • Self-paced Canvas module and monthly meetings
  • Assessment team for CCR reflection survey (5-10 hours)
    • Training and support for EL Team's end-of-year assessment projects

PLEASE NOTE: Your participation in programs, workshops and events will be automatically tracked by the Commons' Experiential Learning Team.

When will I receive CCR Validation?

In order to have the CCR Campus Ambassador position verified on their record, participants must first complete the full 10 hours of required activities and 20 hours of additional activities, before the validation deadline of June 30, 2027.

If you have completed your hours before the Validation deadline (6/30/2027) and would like the position added to your CCR Transcript, please email the program validator so they can verify your hours.

Otherwise, all students who meet the participation requirement will be automatically verified after the validation deadline.
